ClearTabs – Privacy Policy

AirLoom Studio LLC  ·  Last updated: April 2026

ClearTabs is a Chrome extension that helps you clean up browser tabs. This policy explains what data the extension does and does not collect.

Data collection

ClearTabs does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. The extension never contacts any external server. All processing happens entirely within your browser on your device.

Local storage

ClearTabs stores your preferences — such as toggle states and custom sort rules — locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to AirLoom Studio or any third party.

Permissions

ClearTabs requests the following permissions:

tabs — Required to read, close, sort, and deduplicate your open tabs. Tab data is processed in real time and is never written to any external location or transmitted anywhere.

windows — Required to consolidate tabs from multiple browser windows into one.

storage — Required to save your preferences locally on your device.

Third parties

ClearTabs does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a future version of the extension, the updated policy will be posted at this URL and the "last updated" date above will be revised.
